Project Runway @ Santa Ana

My loves!
No words can describe the moment my design walked down the runway. It is one of those feelings that just can't be described by any existent word. Hope you guys enjoy this recap of the fashion show:)
The design process
To be honest my first designs were different, but they emerged to beautiful sophisticated gowns. So I was incredibly inspired with the future and present. I wanted to represent the classy sophisticated bad ass women I had always dreamed of.
Coming to life
Where to begin!? This was by far the most enjoyable part of the design process yet the most stressful considering the limited time I had to make my desings. I probably changed my looks 50 times before I was completely satisfied with them. Luckily I had an amazing mentor and a great book to guide me through the execution process.
The Day (Fashion Show)
Nerve-wracking, hectic, emotional, inspirational, thrilling, breathtaking, overpowering, uplifting..... do any of you guys want to add more? Gosh I can just go on and on for days. It was Project Runway at Santa Ana College to say the least!
I had so many things go wrong that day, but none that stopped me or even stalled my vision. I wasn't about to give up all those restless and sleepless nights sewing like a mad woman for insignificant reasons. Luckily I had such incredible friends who supported me throughout the whole process and gave me a hand when I most needed it. You guys know who you are. Love ya!
Runway Time
Models (Check), completed Designs (Check), Makeup (Check), Hair (Check), finally cat walk. This is when it finally hit me. I am about to showcase my mini collection! AHH!- I thought to myself. In the inside I was screaming of excitement and nervousness. A million thoughts were sprinting through my mind while my models were practicing their walk. My babies (designs) were about to walk down the runway and I had no clue how the crowd was going to respond to them.
Fast forward to the start of the fashion show. Gaby starts to walk to the backdrop or silhouete backdrop-how ever you want to call it- my heart skips a beat as she begins to walk out! I hear people respond when all of the sudden Elizabeth gets ready to walk out. Melissa walks towards the silhouette back drop, stops and does such a magical hand gesture that was the cherry on top to all the amazing feelings I was getting watching them walk out. Next thing you know I stumble as I walk out to the runway into such loving crowd!! That right there is a feeling I would never trade for anything in the world. Just writing this fills me with overflowing happiness. Sniff sniff*
Inspiration
After the show I got to see my parents! My parents quickly went out of the theatre to meet with me. My models and I were taking pictures when at the corner of my eye I saw my parents anxiously waving at me. One of the many wonderful views of that night. You can tell my dad was anxious to have me go over. I will never forget how exuberant he was that night. When I went over they were so happy and couldn't stop talking about how great the show was. Like any proud parent they rambled about how proud they were:) I love my parents! I then headed over our little red carpet and took pictures. This is when I met Jose. Jose was a complete stranger until he decided to approach me that night, simply to say how inspired he was by my mini collection! Wow! I was able to inspire someone. Now that is frekn awesome. It's all I've been wanting to do all along and it's all thanks to God.
Wow! I will never ever forget May 29, 2015 SAC Fashion Show! This tops my most magical, crazy, insane, adrenaline rush moment of all time-my time at least. I wish I could just press repeat over and over again to relive that breathtaking moment once again.
